A new little friend on the MSB Pond.

...has an odd way of stowing its legs when resting.

I had planned to stop calling him Stinker, seeing that he has grown up so fast and prooved that he is a mature and dignified young hawk. However after three days since Saturday and spending so many hours walking from one end of that little island to the next and not finding the little guy I see no other fitting name but Stinker!

Lola on the Carlyle Tuesday evening.

Lola over the MSB Pond.

Thirsty little guy at Azalea Pond.

Lola on the Beresford. I was concerned that I hadn't seen Palemale all of the day before and then on Tuesday but he was hiding on the Turtle Pond tree all the while.

Time for all those sweet, innocent animals to go to sleep.

For people asking about Roosevelt Island...it is a relatively small Island in the middle of the East River. It's about twenty something blocks long by two blocks wide (I may be way off--but you can look it up). I get there by the cable car at 59th Street & 2nd Avenue. The F train also stops there.
