Robin taking bath
At the top end of Azalea Pond she made art with her splishing and splashing. If you sit on a rock and watch her and her other friends bathe in this pond with the trickling stream and the patches of sunlight bouncing every which way you’ll want to discredit all other forms of conventional entertainment - Sunday September 4, 2005

Squirrel at Azalea Pond
I often wonder if his thirst is different from mine. Is mine more worthy of quenching than his? Maybe one day I'll be able to film a very tight image of his little tongue lapping up the cool water and see the tiny droplets collect on his whiskers - Sunday September 4, 2005

Pale Male Jr. Update

Two Falcons over MSB Pond
Two incorrigible falcons chose no other place to perform their courtship tango but right smack in Pale Male & Lola’s area (at least it resembled a courtship dance). The wise Red Tail couple left them alone as Lola perched on The Carlyle and Pale Male on the 71st Street Antenna building - 5:30PM Saturday September 3, 2005

Lola (below) & Falcon
A little more than an hour later (after their courtship-like dance) one of the falcons attacked Lola. These aerial confrontations are very common, no contact was made and after a while the falcons went their own way - 6:36PM Saturday September 3, 2005

Pigeon at Azalea Pond
This beautiful persecuted animal sits peacefully on the wire fence blocking off the pond and catches a brief packet of sunlight filtering through the tall English Oaks around her - 2:52PM Saturday September 3, 2005

Mom's Home!
After all these weeks Charlotte is finally 'home' in the empty playground where her first (known) two children Maggie & Charlie have spent the last six weeks growing up.
