Without shame, care or heart, Riverside Park has begun to poison rats again!
July 2, 2011:
There is a letter below from a concerned patron with a feeble message from a Riverside Park administrator concerning this:
There is no more talking to these people--they are beyond reasoning!

The letter which was posted here has been removed as requested by the sender. The letter indicated that the rat poison was placed there by accident and was removed 'at 79th Street'.

This message relayed here from the R'side Parks Dept is unsatisfactory. Here is an example of what encourages rats in Riverside Park. These pictures were taken on June 4, 2011 at the entrance to the 79th Street Boat Basin Cafe.
This was Saturday June 4, 2011 and the Boat Basin was having s special event at their restaurant (the restaurant is located below this roadway).
Restaurants which are allowed to operate in NYC Parks must be more responsible in their operation.
A letter from Adrian Benepe concerning Central Park's rat control.
