Welcome to the world little Pal--it’s a beautiful one even if there are a few obstacles to challenge you. But if you do, as I feel in my heart, have even one drop of your grandpa’s blood in your veins then I know you’re ready for anything the world is ready to throw at you.

You should also know that I believe the Sun, the Wind, the Earth and a lot more wholesome forces are all conspiring to keep you forever looking beautiful.

Palemale III* hopping about on the Cathedral.

This copper duct did not offer any firm footing.

Some powerful force brings them into the world and looks after their little fuzzy faces.

Presently she is being caressed and preened by this powerful force which picks up where Mom left off.

This guy does a remarkable imitation of a cellphone ring.

Lola coming back home after an extremely long break. She seems reluctant to continue sitting on the eggs.

Palemale picks up most of the slack when she leaves the nest. She spent several hours off on Sunday but at a very late hour she made it back home. There were several sessions of dancing together above Fifth Avenue all evening.

I'm so happy that he cannot understand our language. So when he passes by so close to me I'm not obliged to keep saying ‘I’m sorry’ to him. I can easily pretend to be one of the stone statues on the terrace devoid of guilt and conscience.

Palemale & Lola helps me to understand what's important and what is not.

So does this little stinker.

Bless them all.

*Palemale III is just a name I use to reference the St John's father. I would like to believe he's a son of Palemale just for my heart and not for any official record keeping. I do not need any DNA test to believe this and even if he turns out not to be a child of Palemale I won't love him any less.
